BIOGRAPHY
Tim Walker began his radio career in 1971 at WAGC Radio in
Centre, AL. Over the next 32 years he has been a program director,
operations director, sales manager, vice-president of programming, and news
director at radio stations in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South
Carolina.
He was employed by Coastal Plains Broadcasting in
Florence/Myrtle Beach, SC, Charlotte/Winston-Salem, NC; by McDougald
Broadcasting and Coosa Valley Broadcasting in Rome, GA; WAGC, Inc. of Centre,
AL; and at WJTH in Calhoun, GA.
During the past 32 years Tim has been a ratings success in
every market he has been employed. He had the number one rated Morning
Show at WQTU-FM/WRGA and at WROM-FM (now K-98) in Rome. He also enjoyed
rating success at WFMX-FM in Charlotte/Winston-Salem, NC and at WDSC-FM in
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Tim was employed by Burgess Broadcasting, Corporation for 4
years where he introduced Gospel Music-Southern Style on the air in January 2000. The program
was a complete success both in ratings and
sponsorship. He was nominated in 2001 by the Southern Gospel Music
Association as the Radio Announcer of the Year.
Tim left his current position recently to begin in the gospel
music ministry full-time with a version of his program available to stations all
over the country.
Tim is also now available to speak to Churches, Men's Groups,
special events, and other Christian outlets to give his personal testimony how

Tim is also a dedicated Christian having served in many
musical roles in Churches in the Polk/Floyd County area since October 1967 when
he became organist at his home church Hill Crest Baptist Church in Rome and is
an ordained Minister of the Gospel.
In 1999, he became a founder and charter member of New Hope
Fellowship serving as its first Worship Pastor until January 2003. He and
his wife Susan are now active members of the Cedartown Church of God where he is active
in the music program.
Tim is also an accomplished musician and songwriter and has plans to
release his first musical CD soon. Not only is he a pianist and organist,
but also plays bass guitar, trumpet, and guitar. If is through this love
of music that God has blessed him the most. Through this love came the
his desire to create the radio programs that are now on the air.
Tim and his wife Susan have 4 daughters, Layla Shipman &
Melissa Hickman of Rome and Julie Atkins & Lisa Boland of Cedartown.
They also have 5 grandchildren, Cole, Rosa, Adam, Lauren, and Hayli.
